Volunteer Position: Materials & Packing Assistant

Organization: The Be. Org

Location: 145 W. Ostend Street, Baltimore, MD (The Be. Org Headquarters)

Availability: Tuesday & Wednesday, between 10 AM - 3 PM

Position Overview:

The Be. Org is seeking dedicated Materials & Packing Assistants to support our programs by preparing materials for events and school-based initiatives, weekly. This volunteer role is essential in ensuring that our students and educators have the necessary supplies and materials needed for implementing and engaging in impactful learning experiences. On average, we serve 400 students each week. We need helping hands for this assembly-style volunteer opportunity. Your time and effort will directly impact students in our community. Whether you can volunteer for the full shift or just a portion of it, we'd love to have your support!

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and package materials for educational events and school programs
  • Organize and inventory supplies to ensure efficiency
  • Assist with light lifting and sorting of materials as needed
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workspace

Qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions
  • Comfortable with light physical tasks (lifting up to 15 lbs.)
  • Passionate about supporting youth education and community programs

Time Commitment:

  • Once a week on Thursdays
  • Flexible timing between 10 AM - 3 PM (choose hours that work for you!)
