Job description

The Packing Operator is responsible for efficiently and accurately packing finished products into

containers, bags, or boxes for distribution. This role ensures product quality, adheres to safety and

sanitation standards, and supports the smooth operation of the production line.

• Pack into designated containers, pouches, or boxes according to specifications, ensuring correct

quantities and proper sealing.

• Visually inspect finished products for defects, consistency, and proper packaging; remove or report

non-compliant items.

• Apply labels, date codes, or batch numbers to packages, ensuring accuracy and compliance with

regulations.

• Operate basic packing machinery (e.g., sealing machines, conveyors) and report any malfunctions to

supervisors.

• Maintain a clean and organized packing area, following food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP)

and sanitizing workstations as required.

• Assist in tracking and organizing packed goods, ensuring proper storage and readiness for shipping.

• Work with production, quality control, and warehouse teams to meet production schedules and

maintain workflow.

High school diploma or GED.

Experience: • Basic knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, HACCP) preferred.

• Previous experience in food manufacturing or packing is preferred but not required.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, including packing specifications. Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks. Attention to detail and commitment to quality
