Pay Range: $19.00-$20.00/hour
WORK HOURS: The work hours of this position require flexibility in order to meet production requirements. Some mandatory overtime may be required, and voluntary overtime may be available. Shift hours: 5 AM - 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday.
The Production Line Team Member consists of a wide variety of positions: Inspector, Processor, Packer, and Palletizer. The individual may be a trained and Qualified Individual in job functions that support the Food Safety Plan Critical Control Points and Preventive Controls such as product cooker temperature recording, metal detection operator, assisting in equipment cleaning, and label verification.
Responsibilities
INSPECTOR
  • Carefully looks at raw materials, processed, and frozen precooked pasta at various processing steps to ensure it meets our standards of quality. Verify our pasta product is not; under cooked / overcooked / miss shaped / thawed.

PROCESSOR
  • Shapes, stacks, and rolls cheese filled lasagna rolls or sandwiches as they're conveyed to freezer.
  • Mix and blend powder and granular ingredients for dry mixes.
  • Mix batches of dough for processing lines.
  • Assist with daily utensils, equipment, and line sanitation.

PACKER
  • Packers are to ensure the right product is in the right bag and final shipping container.
  • Sorts, stacks, orientates product to properly fit in finished case.
  • Fills and weighs frozen pasta pieces to appropriate case or tote weight in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Ensure all packages are properly coded before packing.
  • Assist with daily utensils, equipment, and line sanitation.

PALLETIZER
  • Check pallets to ensure they are in good condition for loading product on.
  • Verify all codes on boxes as complete, accurate, and legible with the line, shift, lot code and product code.
  • Stack boxes on pallet using correct configuration for the product running.
  • Obtain powered pallet truck qualification.

FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES: Applies the food safety and quality principles as described in the Marzetti Corporate Food Safety and Quality Manual and internal Marzetti Frozen Pasta policies, training and procedures in all applicable aspects of departmental and job functions.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 18-years of age
  • High School Diploma or General Education (GED) preferred.
  • Prior Manufacturing Experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Basic math skills include adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
  • Must be willing and able to learn skills necessary to accurately input data into computer, payroll, attendance, manufacturing, and inventory tracking systems.
