Job description

Packing Machine Operator, 2nd Shift

Waterbury, CT

Type: Contract-to-Hire


Position Summary

Join a growing manufacturing team as a packing machine operator, where youโ€™ll play a key role in inspecting and packaging finished coated products for shipment. This is a hands-on opportunity with on-the-job training, ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to quality and safety in a fast-paced production environment.


Responsibilities

Package finished coated products into cartons for shipment

Tape, label, and stack cartons onto skids properly

Inspect cans and coating for defects according to quality standards

Move completed skids to designated staging areas

Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping)

Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines

Assist with general production support as needed


Requirements

Strong, verifiable work history with reliable attendance

Ability to follow safety rules and wear required protective equipment

High attention to detail and quality control

Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Physical stamina with ability to lift up to 35 lbs

Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting (noise, machinery, fumes)

High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred

Mondayโ€“Thursday: 5:00 PM โ€“ 5:00 AM
