Description:

This position will perform manual and clerical warehousing duties as required to receive, store and distribute materials while organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintain forklift certification and OSHA safety guidelines
  • Construct wooden crates to be used in the shipping of our equipment using both prebuilt kits and/or by creating a special crating to accommodate unique sized equipment or packages.
  • Keep an organized work area at all times.
  • Organize warehouse by FIFO method while maintaining a constant flow of new to aging equipment by product line.
  • Locate and distribute warehouse equipment as required for work order releases per Sage platform
  • Handling of lumber kits and losse lumber to be used for the building of crates which are used for proper shipping specification
  • Receive and stock materials from UPS,FedEX, Air, Container shipments while reviewing packing lists for correct building locations. Revaluate inbound appreances for dameages and note carrier documentation.
  • Support Parts department in fulfilling orders using Shipgear platform ( UPS,FedEX small package)
  • Maintain proper documentation of outgoing shipments in terms of packing procedures, damage liability, photos and proper use of paperwork provided (Bills of lading, packing list,label, stickers) to assure that you are shipping what is specified in detail on outbound customer orders.
  • Maintain a "Customer Friendly" and professional attitude when dealing with customers internal and external, trucking companies and teamates.
  • Assist in logging in and issuing identification badge to any persons who enter the building through the shipping and receiving department who are not employed by Wittmann-Battenfeld Inc.
  • Provide input on daily process concerns to create a better workflow environment
  • Work with supervisor to create quarterly material scrap reports and cycle count audits
  • Mandatory involvement of annual inventory control counts
Requirements:

Experience in a stockroom and warehousing are mandatory. Needs to be able to lift an excess of 50lbs. Ability to maneuver a forklift properly while adhering to OSHA guidelines.

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in similar position desirable.

Certifications/Licenses: Forklift


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Candidate must be able to work effectively on your own and as a team player. Familiar with basic shipping and receiving procedures involving proper documentation and processing of all received products. Ability to plan & organize, maintain records, meet schedules and timelines, safety practices and related software applications. Forklift/Crane operation allowing for the safe placement and removal from stock of all Wittmann related parts and components.
