Field Service Engineer (Flexible Packaging) -ย PSC120262ย 

Pay: $85,000 โ€“ $120,000/year + Benefits

Schedule: Mondayโ€“Friday (with flexibility for customer support)
Travel:ย 80% travel requiredย 

We are seeking an experienced, highly independent Technical Service Representative to support customers in the flexible packaging industry through hands-on field service, troubleshooting, and equipment support. This is a field-based role requiring extensive travel and direct customer interaction. The individual will serve as the primary technical resource for an assigned customer base and must be comfortable working autonomously.

This role is not sales-focused. It is a true technical service position supporting flexible packaging equipment and applications at customer sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site technical service and troubleshooting for flexible packaging equipment and applications

  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to presses, slitters, converting, and packaging performance

  • Travel to customer locations to address production, film, and graphics-related issues

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for assigned customers

  • Conduct equipment support, trials, and customer training as needed

  • Work independently to resolve urgent customer issues, including occasional off-hours support

  • Document service activities, findings, and corrective actions

  • Collaborate with internal quality, production, and technical teams as required

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in flexible packaging, including printing, converting, laminating, or finishing

  • Direct experience running and troubleshooting presses and/or slitters, flexographic presses and extrusion equipment.ย ย 

  • Proven background in servicing, repairing, or supporting flexible packaging equipment (VF or HF)

  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills; electrical experience helpful but not required

  • Ability to work independently in a field-based, high-travel role

  • Strong communication skills and customer-facing professionalism

  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory (NC, SC - exclusively)ย
