Job Description Summary: The intern is responsible for performing lab testing, and for providing test reports related to a range of projects.
Primary Tasks: The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.
Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
• Acquire, read, and understand certain industry specifications relative to the new product(s) being developed
• Set up tests according to specified tests; perform testing; report test results in a specific report format
• Hands on work to set up various equipment, both manufacturing type equipment and test equipment, to prove out application processes
• Learn about proper use of various test equipment for most accurate results
• Consistent interaction with plant personnel to understand how new processes might integrate into production
• All work above done using best safety practices
Qualifications:
1. Must be pursuing bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical)
2. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications; proficiency in CAD type software (Solidworks) a plus
3. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and write in English
4. Strong attention to details with excellent prioritization and follow-up skills
5. Ability to be a part of a team and communicate effectively within all levels of the organization
6. Able to create presentations (PowerPoint) and present to internal groups
7. Able to work independently
8. Enthusiastic and driven for results
Pay Range:
19.80 - 24.20
