Job description

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Packaging Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the packaging, labeling, and shipment of our products, ensuring they meet quality standards and customer expectations. The ideal candidate thrives in both independent and team environments and actively contributes to process improvements and company initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and follow daily production schedules and shop orders.

  • Accurately acquire and stage products, packaging materials, and labels in preparation for processing.

  • Set up and operate packaging and labeling equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Assemble product kits and packages based on specific customer and internal requirements

  • Process outgoing shipments-including hazardous materials-using ERP software (training provided).

  • Safely lift and move boxes (occasionally over 50 pounds) and palletize freight for shipment.

  • Document activities and production data using electronic manufacturing systems.

  • Assist with routine cycle counting and inventory management tasks as directed.

  • Participate in team activities and communicate effectively with colleagues and leadership on safety, quality, and process matters.

  • Support a continuous improvement culture by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting improvements.

  • Escalate operational issues to management when necessary.

  • Ensure decisions align with department and organizational goals.

  • Support product unitizing activities, including batch breakdown, pipetting, flame sealing, accurate counting, and inspection.

  • Perform product put-away tasks, stocking shelves and walk-in freezers as well as outside containers with various materials ranging from lightweight to heavier items.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification is a plus.

  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or lab support role preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and SOPs.

  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn ERP and electronic documentation systems.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety standards.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

  • Comfortable working in environments including walk-in freezers and with hazardous materials (training provided).

Additional Details

This job has a full time weekly schedule.
