Job description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Fusion Analyst to support a company focused on providing enterprise cyber defense, network operations, and threat intelligence support for critical Department of Defense missions. This position is on-site in Fort Meade MD. The Cyber Fusion Analyst will support cyber defense operations through incident handling, threat detection, network analysis, intelligence-driven investigations, and vulnerability assessment activities. Join a mission-focused team responsible for defending critical DoD networks against advanced cyber threats and adversary activity.

Responsibilities for the Cyber Fusion Analyst include:
  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, logs, netflow, IDS/IPS alerts, and full packet capture (PCAP) data to identify malicious activity and cyber threats.
  • Conduct incident triage, threat hunting, compromise assessments, and cyber intelligence analysis to support enterprise security operations.
  • Research and analyze adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), providing actionable recommendations for mitigation and defense.
  • Leverage threat intelligence, OSINT, vulnerability information, and security tools to identify risks and improve the organization’s security posture.
  • Develop reports, metrics, dashboards, and situational awareness products to communicate cyber threats and trends to stakeholders.
Required Qualifications for the Cyber Fusion Analyst include:
  • 4+ years of experience in Cyber Operations, Security Operations Center (SOC), Cyber Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, or Network Defense environments.
  • Experience with Splunk, Wireshark, IDS/IPS platforms, PCAP analysis, TCP/IP networking, OSI model concepts, and SIEM technologies.
  • Strong understanding of cyber threats, adversary methodologies, vulnerability analysis, threat intelligence, and network security monitoring.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field; additional experience may be substituted for education.
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance and Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification).

Salary Range: Depending on experience
