Job description

Project Manager

๐Ÿ“ West Loop, Chicago, IL

๐Ÿ—๏ธ Top Chicago General Contractor | Diverse Project Portfolio | Career Growth

We're partnered with one of Chicago's premier General Contractors that is looking to add a Project Manager to its growing team in the West Loop.

If you're looking for an opportunity that offers more than just managing the same type of project year after year, this is one worth exploring. With four established divisions spanning Commercial & Multifamily, Healthcare, Corporate Interiors, and Mission Critical, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience and build a career across multiple sectors of the construction industry.

Known for delivering some of the city's most recognizable projects, this contractor continues to invest heavily in construction technology, digital project delivery, and sustainable building practices, giving employees the tools and resources to stay ahead in an evolving industry.

One of the biggest differentiators is the company's commitment to employee development. Rather than keeping people in one division indefinitely, they encourage internal movement and cross-functional experience, allowing Project Managers to shape their own career path based on their interests and long-term goals.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and financial performance
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget

What They're Looking For:

  • Project Manager experience with a General Contractor
  • Commercial construction experience required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project teams
  • Someone looking for long-term career growth within a leading Chicago contractor

Compensation & Benefits:

  • ๐Ÿ’ฐ Base salary up to $150K + performance bonus
  • ๐Ÿฅ 100% employer-paid health insurance for the entire family
  • ๐ŸŒด Unlimited PTO (with a company culture that encourages taking at least 15 days each year)
  • ๐Ÿ  Flexible remote work options
  • ๐Ÿ“ˆ Biannual career development and promotion reviews
  • ๐Ÿš€ Opportunity to gain experience across multiple divisions and accelerate your career
  • ๐Ÿ“ All projects are throughout Chicagoland โ€” no travel required

If you're looking to join a contractor that combines the resources of a major organization with a genuine investment in employee development, this is an outstanding opportunity to take the next step in your career.
