Position Summary:

Responsible for monitoring activities to ensure that guests or team members are not engaged in illegal activities, that all gaming and cash-handling activities are conducted in accordance with New Hampshire Lottery Commission regulations and the Companyโ€™s internal controls and procedures, and that assistance is given to security personnel to ensure the safety of the guests and team members.


Essential Responsibilities:

1. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established Company Policies and Procedures and State Regulations.

2. Ensures the smooth operation of the department by following policies and procedures and complying with Internal Control Policies and Procedures.

3. Writes reports in a clear and concise manner noting only information based on fact without interjection of personal opinion.

4. Operates surveillance equipment within the Surveillance room and reports any malfunction of the surveillance system.

5. Documents, observes, records and reports any violations of state regulations, Company policies or departmental procedures.

6. Interacts with local, state and federal law enforcement in the investigations of criminal activity which occurs on Company property.

7. Monitors currency transports in accordance with casino procedures.

8. Evaluates information to render an opinion or take action based on that information that will impact the department or function.

9. Possesses skills to hasten resolution, assess course of action, and implement or act based upon findings.

10. Renders advice, and provides expertise or judgment based on information gathered, studied, analyzed or reviewed.

11. Ensures the integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.

12. Has complete understanding policies and procedures for all gaming and cash handling areas.

13. Monitors emergency procedures to ensure prompt and safe handling of such emergencies as fire, flood, or bomb or other threats.

14. Possesses skills to identify and understand cheating techniques in gaming and count room.

15. Promotes Responsible Gaming, AML and Title 31 compliance.

16. Maintains constant awareness of the latest gaming and surveillance regulations.

17. Stays up-to-date on casino activities and property events and promotions to ensure safety and compliance.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, High attention to detail, prior security or similar experience considered.
  • Experience with card counting and basic strategies are a plus.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, interpret and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers or staff, guests and the general public.
  • Maintain confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word required. Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, certifications, and indemnifications requisite to the successful completion of all essential responsibilities.
  • Must meet or exceed all regulatory conditions stipulated for individuals holding this or similar positions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise levels, maybe exposed to secondhand smoke except and varied light levels, including flashing lights. Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift.
