Public Safety Sergeant - Overnight - (Texas Level 2 Certified)

Job Type : Part-Time w/ Benefits

Pay Rate : $15.75/hr.

This a Part-Time with benefits position at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, in San Antonio, TX. Working overnight at Six Flags Fiesta Texas offers a unique opportunity to help protect and secure one of Texas’ premier entertainment destinations while working alongside a dedicated Public Safety team.

Responsibilities:

As an Overnight Security Lead , you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of Six Flags Fiesta Texas during overnight operations. This position serves as a working lead responsible for guiding overnight security officers, conducting patrols, monitoring park property, and ensuring all security procedures are followed after park closure. You will help protect park assets, ensure the safety of anyone working overnight, and maintain a secure environment until morning operations resume.

  • Lead and support overnight Security Officers during non-operating hours of the park.

  • Conduct routine patrols of park property, parking areas, buildings, backstage areas, and perimeter access points.

  • Monitor fire alarms, surveillance systems, and radio system.

  • Assign daily tasks and patrol duties to overnight Security Officers.

  • Ensure compliance with park safety policies, security procedures, and emergency response protocols.

  • Respond to security incidents, fire alarms, and suspicious activity.

  • Assist with securing park facilities, ride areas, warehouses, and administrative buildings.

  • Document incidents, security concerns, and patrol activities in required reports.

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for overnight security issues.

  • Provide on-the-job training and guidance to Security Officers as needed.

  • Assist Supervisors with communicating overnight operational concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

  • Must be available to work overnight from 12A.M. - 8A.M

  • Must have a valid Texas Level 2 Security License

  • 1 year of prior security experience.

  • Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.

  • Must be able to climb a 50 foot surveillance Tower.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 75 lbs. with assistance.

  • Strong leadership and effective oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to lead and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight hours.

  • Ability to patrol on foot, bike, or vehicle in outdoor areas for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to respond calmly and professionally to emergency situations.

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

  • Availability to work overnight shifts, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

OTHER NOTES

  • All other duties as assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.

  • Reports to the Public Safety Department Leadership.
