About the Job


DACON Corporation is looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to our team. The Senior Project Manager controls the schedule, cost, and quality of construction projects. Acting as a liaison with owners, architects, engineering, subcontractors and clients, the Senior Project Manager oversees project cost, scheduling, completion, and close-out for multiple construction projects. The Senior Project Manager will also maintain constant and effective communications with team members, internal/external customers and vendors. The Senior Project Manager will:


  • Maintain Procore records and logs including drawings, sketches, contracts, etc.
  • Control of costs through contract and purchase negotiations, change order generation, and other project cost management.
  • Implement and track RFQ and bid packages to subcontractor and vendors.
  • Create project schedules and 3-week look ahead schedules.
  • Prepare and archive meeting minutes.
  • Conduct site visits.
  • Compose take-offs and estimates.
  • Conduct subcontractor and owner meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver close outs and owners' manuals.
  • Coordinate BIM activities with architects and subcontractors.
  • Discuss and report follow-ups with project team, clients and subcontractors/vendors.
  • Manage company documentation per company guidelines.
  • Mentor and coach tram members.
  • Readily share knowledge and experience with coworkers.
  • Follow goal-based work plans.
  • Flexibility for overnight travel up to 7 days per month.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • Provide daily oversight, direction and management of Project Managers.
  • Select contracts and oversee contractors for specific needs.

Required Education and Experience:


  • Mastery of principles of project management for building construction.
  • Understanding of principles of engineering and architecture related to design and construction.
  • Mastery with MS Office Suite, MS Project, and Procore.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Works well as part of a team or achieve a shared goal or outcome in an effective way.
  • Strong communication skills, thorough and attentive to details, able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline-oriented.
  • Mastery of ability to read and understand work orders, plans, specs, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Mastery of ability to interact effectively with subcontractors, vendors, clients and employees at all levels of the organization.


Preferred Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors degree in Construction Management or associated field OR equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of experience in construction management of building, new and renovations.
  • Substantial on-site construction experience and knowledge of means and methods.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Certified
  • BIM familiarity
  • Design-Build project experience
