Job description

CTR Group is seeking a Quality Control Manager - Environmental Services for a Government Site in the Portsmouth, VA, area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring.

SUMMARY:

This position shall have overall responsibility for the contract's quality control management program to include maintaining and overseeing the quality control management program for entire contract.

  • Administer quality control management program.
  • Responsible for overall quality assurance program
  • Monitor and inspect all delivery orders for compliance
  • Maintain records of inspections and certifications
  • Prepare monthly reports depicting findings of quality inspections
  • Periodically review the quality control program to ensure compliance
  • Examine processes for preventative and corrective maintenance; make suggestions based on findings
  • Perform inspections and re-inspections to ensure problems have been resolved.
  • Collect data for the DMLSS (Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support) system entry by the Government.
  • Research safety and quality topics online
  • May prepare incident and accident reports
  • May be tasked with preparing training materials and conducting employee quality and/or safety meetings
  • May manage the disposal of hazardous waste
  • May research and issue infection control and interim Life Safety permits
  • May train personnel on material control and equipment and tool management

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's Degree is required.
  • 5 years of experience in preparing and enforcing quality management programs (QMS) on contracts of similar size, scope and complexity
  • 5 years of experience working on DHA (Defense Health Agency) or USACE (US Army Corps of Engineers) projects inactive military medical facilities.
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of 3-Phases of Control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-up).
  • Ability to maintain, update, and work in RMS is required.
  • Knowledge of Procore and Bluebeam is preferred.
  • Ability to work in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint, Outlook, and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Knowledge of RFID control and planning on equipment for Government record keeping purposes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures
  • First Aid/CPR
  • USACE CQMC Certification
  • Travel is required 10% of the time

Preferred: OSHA 30 Certification
