Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Contract

Facility: Adventist Health Bakersfield
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Address: 2615 Chester Ave, Bakersfield, CA 93301
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Days | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Pay Rate: $82 – $84/hr
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,952 – $3,024/week

Job Summary

Provide comprehensive nursing care for laboring mothers, postpartum patients, and newborns in a busy Labor & Delivery unit. Responsibilities include fetal monitoring, labor management, assisting with deliveries, cesarean section support, patient education, and emergency obstetric care.


Requirements
  • Active California RN License

  • Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery experience

  • Acute Care Hospital experience required

  • Experience with Cesarean Sections and High-Risk OB patients

  • EPIC experience preferred (EPIC Backfill Assignment)

  • Ability to float between Women's Services units as needed


Required Credentials
  • BLS (AHA) – Required

  • ACLS (AHA) – Required

  • NRP – Required

  • Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) – Required

  • RN License (CA) – Required
