Job description

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We currently have an opening for a Temporary Back Office Medical Assistant in the city of Long Beach, CA. Experience in Internal Medicine preferred.

Job Type: Full-time, TEMP

Pay: $23-25 per hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant provides comprehensive back-office support in a fast-paced internal medicine practice, ensuring efficient clinical operations and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining exam rooms, obtaining and documenting patient vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints, performing and documenting EKGs, and assisting providers with examinations, diagnostic testing, and in-office procedures. The Medical Assistant administers medications and injections as ordered, collects and processes laboratory specimens, documents patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR), collaborates with front-office staff to maintain efficient patient flow, coordinates follow-up care as needed, maintains patient confidentiality, adheres to infection control and OSHA standards, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bilingual, required
  • Internal Medicine experience, preferred
  • Must have at least 1 year of back-office experience
  • MA Certified
  • CPR Certified
