How does an outside account manager typically balance time between client visits and administrative tasks?

Outside Account Managers often split their workweek between on-site client meetings and in-office administrative duties. Managing this balance requires strong organizational skills, as you'll need to schedule travel efficiently while keeping up with reporting, proposal preparation, and follow-ups. Most companies provide CRM tools and support staff to help streamline administrative work, allowing you to focus more on building client relationships and meeting sales goals. Flexibility and proactive communication are key to staying on top of both aspects of the role.

Exceptional interpersonal communication, negotiation, and self-motivation distinguish top performers in this role. These skills are critical for building client relationships, meeting sales targets, and driving business growth in a competitive environment.
