Assistant Manager

FLSA: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt
At K9 Resorts, we deliver a luxury experience for dogs and peace of mind for their owners. Our award-winning pet care resorts set the standard in boarding, daycare, and grooming—and we’re looking for a driven Assistant Manager to help lead our team, operations, and growth.
What You’ll Do
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be a hands-on leader partnering with the General Manager to drive performance, develop teams, and ensure operational excellence across the resort.
Leadership amp; Team Development:
Lead, coach, and develop Supervisors, CSRs, and Pet Care Technicians
Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training
Drive accountability, performance management, and team engagement
Lead by example—setting the tone for culture, professionalism, and results
Facilitate team meetings, huddles, and continuous feedback

Operations amp; Business Performance:
Serve as key holder and Manager on Duty (MOD)
Support scheduling, staffing, and labor management
Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, cleanliness, and safety
Assist with inventory, procurement, and facility maintenance
Monitor KPIs and support operational and financial performance

Customer Experience amp; Sales:
Ensure delivery of 5-Star service at every interaction
Support conversion of leads, tours, and client retention strategies
Handle and resolve high-level customer concerns
Evaluate customer feedback and implement service improvements

Marketing amp; Community Engagement:
Act as a Brand Ambassador representing K9 Resorts in the community
Support local partnerships, events, and marketing initiatives
Help drive awareness and business growth through outreach efforts

What We’re Looking For
Prior management or supervisory experience required
Experience in pet care, daycare, boarding, or similar environment preferred
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
Business-minded with an understanding of operations and performance metrics
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
High emotional intelligence and professionalism
Valid driver’s license
Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
