What is an outbound sales rep?

Outbound sales reps are professionals responsible for proactively reaching out to potential customers to generate new business opportunities. They typically use phone calls, emails, and other communication methods to contact leads, introduce products or services, and persuade prospects to make a purchase or set up a meeting. Unlike inbound sales reps, who respond to incoming inquiries, outbound sales reps initiate contact and drive the sales process from the beginning. Their role often involves researching prospects, qualifying leads, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

How does an outbound sales rep typically collaborate with marketing and customer success teams?

Outbound Sales Reps work closely with marketing to align outreach strategies, share customer feedback, and refine target lists based on campaign performance.
