About North Carolina Association of Educators
The North Carolina Association of Educators (NCAE) is building a movement to protect and transform public education in our state. In the last year, NCAE members developed and passed an historic strategic plan for the next four years that includes unprecedented investment to organize and grow our union.

  • Support an organizing team culture that is innovative, hungry to learn, and inspired to fight to defend and transform our public schools
  • Develop, design, and maintain resources, trainings, and systems to improve the functioning of the organizing team

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, meeting frequent and tight deadlines
  • An excellent collaborator and team player
  • A willingness to work nights and weekends when needed

In particular, weโ€™d be thrilled about an Organizing Manager who:

  • Experience collaborating with local member leaders in strategic planning
  • Shares our core commitment to building power through supporting, investing in, training, and empowering member leaders
  • Believes that rank and file members are the core of our union and are best positioned to lead our work and are deeply committed to member leadership
  • Believes in deep investment in training and professional development for organizing staff
  • Is invested in the political project of rebuilding our union and reclaiming our state
  • Is fueled by a desire to learn and grow as an organizer, manager, and leader
