Role Description

Revolution Field Strategies (RFS) is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of Regional Organizing Director (ROD) who will be responsible for building, managing, and leading regional teams for canvassing, voter registration, and signature collection projects. RODs will work with program leadership to develop high-quality, innovative programs for a broad, diverse set of clients and partners.

Regional Organizing Directors will report directly to their Project Director. This role is in person and the applicant will be required to travel to the project location for the duration of the project. Salaries for this position range from $60,000 to $72,000 based on experience and skill set.

Positions Currently Available in Dayton and Columbus Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with state leadership to develop and implement all components of a strategic door-to-door canvassing, voter registration, or signature collection operation in a key area.

  • Lead, coach, and manage the day-to-day activities of the regional team, overseeing all aspects training and team member accountability

  • Analyze daily and weekly reports to track progress to goals and implement rigorous quality control measures

  • Work to ensure all regional goals are met

  • Execute successful and meaningful engagement with the community

Experience, Requirements and Skills

  • Prior organizing experience preferred (paid, volunteer, or internship)

  • Management experience preferred

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team

  • Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends.

  • Must possess a cell phone and laptop

  • Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of driver’s insurance

  • Must be able to travel and/or relocate to project locations across the country on short notice; travel, lodging, and other related expenses are provided by RFS.

  • Familiarity with Google Suite and VAN is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $72,000 depending on experience and skill sets. RFS offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits.

Regional Organizing Directors are considered Temporary Full-Time Employees, meaning they are expected to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) for a defined period of time, typically the length of the project.

Any job-related travel, lodging, and other expenses are paid for by RFS.
