SUMMARY

This position is responsible for collaborating with prospective and existing client executive leadership teams to develop customized strategic solutions regarding organizational transformation strategy and change initiatives that align with business strategy. This position uses advanced probing skills to facilitate discussions around a client's current state and desired state specific to their transformational goals. Assisting clients in aligning culture and engagement strategy to their overall business strategy and objectives, providing relevant project deliverables and impactful solutions are critical to the success of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes relationships with clients' C-level and/or senior leadership teams to align human capital and operating philosophies with the mission and vision of the client company and ensures alignment on change management initiatives to successfully execute the agreed upon strategic plan.

  • Cultivates commitment at the C-level to implement customized strategic initiatives that align with the organization's vision, mission and values. Uses advanced probing skills to facilitate discussions around client's current state to determine client readiness and identify organizational changes needed to successfully execute the agreed upon strategic plan.

  • Advises on culture and engagement strategy, recommends innovative initiatives and practices, and assists with change management efforts. Remains "solution neutral" and leverages analysis to build client recommendations and solutions.

  • Assess clients' workplaces, policies, practices, and procedures to ensure they are comprehensive in scope.

  • Ensures project plans/statements of work are delivered as agreed to by both client and Services/Sales teams.

  • Chooses appropriate metrics to evaluate the ROI/ROE of projects and reports findings to C-level leadership team and key internal stakeholders.

  • Works both independently and as a collaborative consultant with Service team members to develop customized business strategies and/or organizational development plans and performance improvement services to meet the needs of clients and prospects.

  • Consults with internal partners to identify performance improvement opportunities and/or solutions to help close identified gaps within client organizations. Ensures project plans/statements of work are delivered as agreed to by both client and Service teams.

  • Solicits, responds, and adapts to participant feedback during group discussions. Collaborates with Sales, Service Operations and other key stakeholders to ensure that client focused initiatives are aligned with organizational strategy and internal partnerships support the Customer for Life vision. This includes emphasis on relationship building and communication, working in close partnership with Service teams.

  • Participates in the development and application of measurement standards to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training and consultation services.

  • Participates in on-going learning and maintains awareness of industry best practices within the workplace.

  • Ensures client engagements and essential client notes are documented in prescribed systems to support leadership analytics and reporting goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resource Management (HRM), Industrial Psychology or related discipline or four years of related experience is required.

  • Three to five years of professional experience in an organizational development role and/or business operations field is required.

  • Two or more years of experience working with senior leadership and C-level executives is required.

  • Ability to develop leadership and organizational development strategies that will enhance employee performance with ability to articulate those strategies to senior leaders.

  • Ability to identify and work through problems and conflicting issues in a clear and diplomatic manner.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills including ability to manage multiple training or projects simultaneously.

  • Consultative skills and negotiation skills.

  • Objectivity to maintain an impartial approach to situations and people.

  • Manages own performance in an effective manner when placed in new or challenging situations.

  • Demonstratable comfort in situations where the goal or process to achieve those goals is unclear and difficult to determine.

  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio or similar org chart software.

  • Proven ability to communicate (written and verbal), impact and influence decisions, and build relationships with consulting clients and team members.

  • High degree of integrity and discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.

  • Clear understanding of the organization, its activities and structures. Applies this during planning and delivery.

  • Strong organizational awareness with ability to navigate, demonstrating understanding of rules of engagement, and ability to adjust based on the client.

  • Basic to intermediate level of Business Knowledge, Talent and Learning Systems Knowledge, Human Performance Technology (HPT) and work systems.

  • Excellent presentation, group facilitation, virtual training delivery and project management skills.

  • Problem solving ability and able to deal with conflicts and problems constructively.

  • Awareness of global and cultural issues.

  • Travels: Yes, up to 40% of time
