Senior Development Manager

Northwest Ohio | Full-Time
A growing real estate development company in Northwest Ohio is seeking a Senior Development Manager to help lead and execute multiple commercial, industrial, and workforce housing development projects.
Our company owns and develops projects including flex industrial parks, commercial buildings, workforce housing communities, and dealership facilities, with several developments currently in planning, construction, or expansion.
Projects range from multi-million dollar commercial and industrial developments to workforce housing communities.
This role works directly with ownership and plays a key role in managing multiple active development projects from site planning through construction completion, coordinating the consultants, municipalities, and contractors required to deliver successful developments.
Responsibilities
• Manage development projects from site planning through construction completion
• Lead and manage architects, civil engineers, contractors, and development consultants
• Lead entitlement, zoning, and permitting processes with municipalities
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and development timelines
• Oversee infrastructure development including utilities, grading, roadways, and site work
• Manage contractor bidding and negotiation process
• Monitor construction progress and maintain cost control
• Identify and resolve development challenges to keep projects moving forward
• Assist ownership in evaluating new development opportunities and land acquisitions
• Provide regular project status updates and reporting
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate development, construction management, land development, or multifamily development
Strong understanding of:
• site development and civil engineering coordination
• municipal approvals, zoning, and entitlement processes
• construction budgeting and project scheduling
