Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead SAP Business Analyst - OTC to join our corporate IT team. This role is working onsite and can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O'Hare). Fully remote work or alternative work locations will not be considered.
Key Job Responsibilities
As a Lead SAP Business Analyst - OTC, your key job responsibilities are:
Business Process knowledge
• Lead Order-to-Cash business process discussions for complex projects, including application development and package rollouts
• Effectively communicate and work within a global team to coordinate and complete assignments for implementations, upgrades, modifications, and value opportunities associated with Quote-to-Cash processes
• Identify new process approaches and recommend improvements to automate or simplify existing processes related to pricing, quoting, contract management, order intake, delivery, invoicing, and customer payments
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into detailed specifications
• Analyze existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization
• Analyze global business processes and procedures implemented in a single instance of SAP S/4HANA
SAP implementation and configuration
• Hands-on Order-to-Cash process experience within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA (application and configuration) for global project implementations; manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Ensure sales business requirements across Order-to-Cash and related functions are translated into detailed functional specifications; assess cross-functional impacts, associated risks, cost-benefit analysis, business justification, audit guidelines, and global support requirements
• Configure and test system processes; troubleshoot, document, and resolve system-related issues
• Expert knowledge in sales and logistics processes, including:
o Pre-sales activities, including handling customer inquiries and creating sales quotes and contracts
o Order processing, including capturing and formalizing customer requests and setting pricing and delivery conditions
o Availability check (aATP) to confirm whether requested products or services are in stock or can be obtained
o Delivery processing and Logistics Execution, including transportation management
o Billing.
o Credit and Claims Management.
o Payment processing.
o Commercial master data and analytics
Project activities
• Develop and oversee project plans, resource and capacity planning, testing, deployment, and documentation processes, with a focus on implementing regional and global strategies in SAP S/4HANA
• Work directly with AMS staff to ensure timely project and support delivery
• Work directly with vendor partners to augment staff capabilities
• Provide training to key users and end users
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in information technology, information science or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in SAP as an Order-to-Cash or service management business analyst, Sr. Business Analyst, or related role, including hands-on experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA (application and configuration)
• Hands-on experience on an SAP S/4HANA implementation project required
• SAP ECC: at least two full SAP implementation cycles, with at least one in an S/4HANA version
• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC; knowledge of multiple SAP modules preferred
• Knowledge of SAP Vehicle Management Systems, SAP BRIM & SAP GTS preferred
• Working experience with configuration and customization of SAP EDI solutions for quote to cash processes
• Knowledge of integration points and techniques between sales with other SAP components, such as finance and logistics, as well as 3rd party applications
• Previous experience planning and executing large SAP S/4HANA projects
• Ability to promote ideas, recommend solutions, and influence others within all levels of the organization including the ability to explain technical processes and concepts to non-technical user groups
• Ability and discipline to self-manage assignments to meet deadlines, scope, and budget
• Effective presentation skills
• Working knowledge of databases, applications, and data integration interfaces
• Ability to work individually, as a member of a functional team, and part of a global team
• Effective change management skills
• Ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Ability to speak a second language is a plus
• Travel - Up to 25% travel might be required
Additional Information
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$160,000-$170,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
