Order Management Specialist
Position: Contract (90 day right to hire).
Location: Wentzville, MO (no relocation).
Hours: M – F (8 to 5).
Status: Must be a US citizen.
Salary: $20 - $22 per hour (depending on experience).
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance. 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays and much more upon conversion to an FTE.
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Summary: Our client is seeking an Order Management Specialist (OMS) to be responsible for providing personable, excellent customer service and outstanding order fulfillment experience. The OMS enters customer orders and ensures order integrity from the quote to invoice, maintaining timely communication between internal and external parties. The OMS also is the lead responder to incoming phones calls, fields general customer inquiries for stock checks, price checks and order status, and helps connect customers to the appropriate internal resources.
Qualifications:
• 1-2 years office or customer service experience.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
• Basic computer competency and typing skills (minimum 30-40 WPM).
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Personable and conversational.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Displays tenacity, empathy, and patience.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to focus and pay attention for extended period of time.
Responsibilities:
• Enter customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing from quote to the invoice.
• Follow up on customer orders to increase % of on-time deliveries, and prompt communication of changes.
• Liaise between customers, sales, and order fulfillment teams to ensure prompt and accurate communication.
• Answer phone calls and emails, qualify incoming calls and emails for proper routing and assistance.
• Assist customers with requests regarding order status, stock status, list pricing, tracking numbers, etc.
• Keep written and/or electronic records of relevant customer correspondence for review.
• Develop friendly working relationships and have a positive rapport with customers.
• Provide the best customer service experience possible.
