Job Summary: NoSQL DBA with Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM) - Round Rock, TX (Onsite)
About the Role
Join a high-impact team in Round Rock, Texas as a NoSQL DBA with Oracle Linux Automation Manager (OLAM). Play a critical role in shaping the future of enterprise data platforms by driving automation, innovation, and scalability across diverse NoSQL environments. You'll work hands-on with cutting-edge database technologies, Linux VMs, and Kubernetes, while collaborating with leading experts and leveraging the latest in AI-driven development.
Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, SingleStore, StarDog) on Linux VM and Kubernetes
- Design, develop, and manage Ansible automation and OLAM playbooks for efficient database provisioning and maintenance
- Apply AI Native development skills to enable Spec Driven Development (SDD) for platform enhancement
- Plan and execute database patching, upgrades, and resource expansions to ensure performance and scalability
- Monitor database health, implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies, and manage Backup/Recovery processes
- Troubleshoot, tune, and optimize database clusters for peak performance
- Guide best practices and standards for database operations throughout the software development lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and application requirements
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field (or equivalent experience/training)
- 12+ years of relevant experience (8+ years with master's degree) in NoSQL database administration on Linux VM and Kubernetes
- Proven expertise in Ansible automation and OLAM playbook development
- Proficiency in NoSQL technologies: Cassandra, Elastic Search, Neo4j, SingleStore, StarDog (with current focus on Neo4j and StarDog)
- Deep understanding of database cluster management, replication, and multi-datacenter configuration
- Experience in database monitoring, capacity planning, backup/recovery, and security
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to solve complex technical issues proactively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
