The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a skilled and experienced System Administrator (Level 3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Information Systems, with a specific focus on application and systems administration. This role requires a deep technical understanding of server environments, network technologies, and security protocols.
Responsibilities:
  • System Administration:
  • Manage and maintain server environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Install, configure, and secure servers in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of systems.
  • Application Administration:
  • Administer and support various applications within the organization.
  • Ensure applications are running efficiently and address any issues promptly.
  • Network Technologies:
  • Work with network technologies and protocols to ensure seamless communication between systems.
  • Collaborate with network teams to resolve connectivity and performance issues.
  • Virtual Environments:
  • Manage and support virtual environments, including VMs and containerization technologies.
  • Ensure virtual systems are configured correctly and securely.
  • Security Compliance:
  • Adhere to DoD 8570.01-M and SECNAV M-5239.2 requirements for system administration.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.
  • Generate reports on system performance and security status as required.

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in IT-related field desired.
  • 8+ years of experience in Information Systems with a specific focus on application administration.
  • 8+ years of experience with systems administration.
  • 10+ years of technical experience/knowledge of installation, configuration, and security of server environments.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient working knowledge of network technologies and protocols.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Security+ (CE)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
