Job description

The Oracle SCM Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards across Oracle Cloud ERP (and related systems) to support business decision-making. This role partners with functional teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and usability across the enterprise.

The analyst will leverage Oracle reporting tools (OTBI, BI Cloud Connector, BI Publisher,  Smartview, Narrative Reporting, Fusion Data Intelligence) and other enterprise analytics platforms to meet both operational and strategic reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Oracle ERP data structures, functional business processes, and analytics best practices, coupled with technical skills in SQL, data modeling, and visualization.

Collaborates with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), technical integration teams, and data warehouse developers to ensure consistent and integrated reporting across systems. Provide ad hoc data analysis and support to business partners during month-end, year-end, and key operational cycles. 

This position includes regular onsite work, typically 1-3 days per month. The exact schedule and frequency may be adjusted as needed to meet departmental and operational demands.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Reporting Analyst or equivalent role supporting Oracle Cloud Supply Chain Management, Human Capital Management, or Financials
  • 3+ years of experience in relational database, SQL, or system development life-cycle project; and/or equivalent experience/training.
  • Proficient in SQL and data analysis
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) or Oracle Analytics Cloud 
  • (OAC) or EPM reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle reporting tools, BI Publisher, OTBI, practices, and standards.
  • Ability to prepare complex data models unassisted.
  • Ability to understand and model complex knowledge-intensive processes Oracle ERP data structures, and business processes (Finance, SCM, Research or HCM)
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with highly complex data quality and governance issues and requirements.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.   • Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with highly complex logical data design and data mapping or data conversion specially related to higher education or healthcare reporting requirements.
  • 1+ year of experience in an organization comparable to UCSF in terms of budget, size, complexity, scope of operation, and accounting systems
  • Knowledge of supply chain, human capital management, or finance systems and processes within a healthcare environment
