The Boeing Company's Information Digital Technology and Security (IDT&S) - Engineering & Product Support organization is currently seeking a Mid-Level Programmer/Analyst to join our Flight Operations Engineering Support team in Seal Beach, CA or Seattle, WA
Join our dynamic organization, where we collaborate closely with Boeing Commercial Airplanes - Customer Support, to create and deliver world-class Flight Operations products and services. In this impactful role, you will provide technical leadership to a talented team of business and technical developers, as well as subject matter experts, ensuring the successful delivery of Flight Operations Engineering solutions for both commercial airlines and military-derivative customers.
Your expertise will guide the development of high-quality technical documentation that enhances operational efficiency and safety in the aviation industry. Position Responsibilities:
  • Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents and maintains computing applications, software and computing application systems
  • Gathers and evaluates end user requirements
  • Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs and other application architecture requirements
  • Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality
  • Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems
  • Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements

This position is hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the Seal Beach, CA or Seattle, WA location. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience with aerospace technical publications
  • 3+ years of experience with authoring or publishing systems
  • 3+ years of experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies
  • 3+ years of experience using SQL for application interactions with databases (i.e. Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a technical discipline
  • Experience with programming practices and languages like Java, Spring-Boot, Bootstrap, JPA/Hibernate, Oracle/SQL, Angular, Kendo, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML, etc.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
  • Experience with Codex (GPT) and Kiro (Claude) AI
  • Experience with Tanzu
  • Experience communicating with team members involved throughout the completion of projects
