Job description

This PaaS Integration Specialist will serve as the technical owner of the Oracle PaaS integration layer supporting the strategic customer's banking platform. This individual will be responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and operational support of cloud integrations while ensuring high availability, operational resilience, and production readiness. The role requires close collaboration with Oracle SaaS Operations, Infra/PaaS, Product support, OCI teams, and NFCU stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and highly observable integration services.

Leads platform projects crossing multiple teams, evolving runtimes or middleware patterns for interoperability and multi-tenant scale. Diagnoses and resolves complex cross-service issues; enforces versioning, compatibility, and safe rollout practices. Drives observability standards, capacity planning, and resilience patterns across several workloads. Produces migration guides and adoption playbooks that raise ecosystem consistency and developer experience.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,500 to $234,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Software Development:

  • Lead cross-team evolution of middleware patterns or runtimes to standardize interoperability at scale.

  • Define and enforce versioning, deprecation, and rollout strategies that minimize downstream breaks.

  • Implement Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC Gen3) integrations.
  • Develop and support API Gateway configurations.
  • Manage OCI GoldenGate replication and data synchronization.
  • Troubleshoot integration failures and optimize performance.

Production Operations:

  • Own production support for the PaaS integration layer.
  • Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
  • Support production deployments and release activities.
  • Execute production readiness and operational validation activities.
  • Conducts performance profiling and optimization of coding, building scalable solutions, and anticipating and resolving potential outcomes.

  • Troubleshoots and resolves complex issues related to application programming interface (API) functionality and integration.

  • Implements complex API versioning, lifecycle, and interoperability strategies.

Observability & Monitoring:

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for all integration components.
  • Build operational dashboards and business KPI dashboards.
  • Define health checks and proactive alerting strategies.
  • Identify monitoring gaps and drive continuous improvements.

Operational Excellence:

  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for production issues.
  • Implement permanent corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
  • Develop automation to improve operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity planning.

Customer Engagement:

  • Participate in architecture and operational workshops with NFCU.
  • Collaborate with Oracle SaaS, OCI, CSS, and Product Engineering teams.
  • Support technical governance and production readiness reviews.

Development Operations - System Maintenance:

  • Performs periodic maintenance and testing operations for systems that require upgrading or patching (e.g., for critical vulnerabilities), sharing results with manager upon completion.

  • Drives improvements, ensures automation, testing, and debugging of systems to ensure service/product availability, health, support, and reliability.
