Job description

Capital Formation Associate - AI-Native Investment Platform

Magnum Opus Capital is an emerging AI-native quantitative investment platform combining a high-performing systematic hedge fund with proprietary financial technology infrastructure. We are not just a hedge fund; we are a technology company designing, building, and patenting the AI infrastructure we believe the next generation of investment managers will use.

Magnum Opus has generated performance we believe ranks in the top 1% of comparable strategies, driven by proprietary AI infrastructure developed in-house. The platform includes BrokerBridge, custom Matrix-LSTM architecture, custom indexing technology, multiple pending AI-native patents, and MoltyTrades, our social media and strategy-intelligence platform. We own our core execution and inference systems and are building proprietary technology for investment management and financial technology.

We are in the formation-stage window where the fund has the performance narrative, technology infrastructure, and investment thesis, but still needs the right capital formation partner to help drive investor momentum.

What We Need

We have the fund, the tech, and the performance. We need the capital formation operator who can help us scale.

We are looking for a hands-on capital formation operator who can help create real investor conversations quickly. This is not a passive advisory or fundraising consulting role. The right candidate should be able to originate, develop, and manage a qualified investor pipeline across family offices, HNW investors, RIAs, allocators, strategic investors, and other private capital sources.

We are looking for someone who can help us:

  • Generate qualified investor conversations in the near term
  • Build a pipeline of family offices, HNW investors, RIAs, allocators, and strategic capital sources
  • Make realistic introductions where appropriate
  • Manage investor follow-up and relationship development
  • Communicate the Magnum Opus story clearly to sophisticated investors
  • Move quickly in an entrepreneurial, formation-stage environment

Compensation

Compensation is designed to be highly aligned with contribution and upside. For the right person, this is not a flat consulting arrangement; it is an opportunity to participate in the growth of an emerging AI-native investment platform. Depending on experience, role, licensing status, and overall fit, compensation may include profit-share participation, performance-based bonuses, discretionary incentive compensation, participation opportunities in the fund, and long-term upside tied to the growth of the platform. We are looking for someone who wants to help build something meaningful and be rewarded as momentum compounds.

This role does not authorize anyone to sell securities, give investment advice, negotiate investment terms, handle investor funds or paperwork, or act as a broker or placement agent. Compensation will be structured in a compliant manner and will not constitute transaction-based compensation.

Why Now

AI is reshaping financial markets, trading infrastructure, and capital allocation. Magnum Opus is building at the center of that shift.

We are looking for someone who sees the opportunity and can help us get the right investors into the room.
