Optometry Office Front Desk Coordinator
Myrtle Beach, SC.
Fast-paced retail environment.

Our Optometrist office is seeking candidates who are highly motivated, self-directed, reliable and dedicated to the successful completion of all front desk responsibilities.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answer calls to the practice.
  • Confirm patient’s appointments. 
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Greet patients and provide excellent customer service. 
  • pull patient benefits from insurance companies.
  • Update contact information at each visit.
  • Verify insurance benefits, get insurance authorizations prior to patients' visits.
  • Complete knowledge of insurance companies' rules, and understanding of deductibles, copayments, and coinsurances.
  • Knowledge of the names of the insurance companies we take, as well as of the ones we don't participate in.
  • Perform some tech work.
  • Cross training.

  • Must have advanced clerical training which includes typing, basic filing skills, and a fundamental understanding of office procedures.
  • Possess strong computer skills including the windows environment.
  • Must be familiar with medical terminology.
  • Knowledge of all confidentiality requirements regarding patients and strict maintenance of proper confidentiality on all such information.
  • Ability to perform detailed work with numerical data and to make arithmetic computations rapidly and accurately.
