Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:Rotate hourly into each position on the production line. Package product correctly into shippers, check label registration and confirm quality of finished goods as required.

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

Essential Functions

Attendance:Present for all scheduled shifts, every day is MANDATORY, including overtime.

Safety:Your compliance with all company safety rules, procedures and guidelines is essential.

Reporting of safety issues is mandatory.

Remove finished products from the production line and stack cases on pallets.

Position bulk bottles and caps from light weight boxes into hopper.

Assemble shipper and dividers.

Inspect quality of product to include label placement, coding, seal, and volume.

Pack finished product into shipper carton.

Complete move ticket to include customer, size, production line, quantity, and palletizer name.

Provide a pallet count for each SKU produced and verbally communicate to lead operator.

Pick up labels label control and assist with label changes on labeler.

Assist lead operators to keep production running.

Make shippers (boxes) and assist packer

Complete paperwork as needed

All other duties assigned

Physical Activities:Walking, grasping, standing, stooping & bending, pulling, climbing, talking, hearing, and observing, able to lift 5-60 pounds at a range of 3-5 feet high by hand. Standing for up to 8-10 hours per day.

Visual Acuity:Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships and bring objects into sharp focus.

Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions:Worker exposed to inside conditions with protection from weather but not temperature changes. Worker exposed to noise causing shouting in order to be heard above the ambient noise level. Worker exposed to physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts. Worker occasionally exposed to atmospheric conditions such as fumes.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge: Requires the ability to read and understand instructions, write, add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Experience: No previous qualifying experience.

Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids:Labeler and other production equipment.
