Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW: The operator is responsible for ensuring quality standards are being met while always upholding safety principles and guidelines. Operators may be cross trained, and move from one machine, area, or department to meet customer needs and demands.

DEPARTMENT AREAS:

  • Tube bending equipment
  • Presses, CNC Turret Press and Brake Press
  • Laser cutting equipment
  • Shears
  • Packaging
  • Painting
  • Assembly
  • Resistance and fusion welding
  • Auto welder
  • End finishing equipment

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Understand and follow all safety rules and guidelines
  • Operate assigned machines to produce finished product in a final assembly
  • Read and understand blueprints
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools and other special equipment within department
  • Accurately utilize measuring devices such as measuring tape, calipers, and pi tape
  • Cleaning and inspecting of completed parts
  • Read and understand work instructions
  • Keep work area safe and clean (5S- Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
  • Utilize the common approach to continuous improvement
  • Complete Other jobs as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 year of manufacturing or production experience is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Have a positive attitude and act professionally
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve and resolve issues
