Job description

Position Title: Operations Tech
This is an opportunity to build a hands-on career in the rapidly growing renewable energy industry while working on the equipment that powers an entire facility. As an Operations Tech, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting large industrial engines, monitoring plant operations, and ensuring critical systems run safely and efficiently around the clock. Every day brings a new challenge, from diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues to optimizing equipment performance and supporting plant reliability. With extensive autonomy, ongoing technical training, strong advancement opportunities, and exposure to advanced power-generation systems, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and making a tangible impact in an essential industry.
Salary Range: $31.93 / Hour DOE
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair Cat 3520 engines that generate power from methane
  • Perform regular site checks and readings, including weekend inspections
  • Assist with facility maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, and snow removal
  • Respond to on-call situations and emergencies outside normal business hours
  • Potentially travel to other plant locations for major maintenance projects

Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call duties
  • Ability to live within an hour's drive of the plant for on-call response
  • Experience working on engines, preferably similar to the Cat 3520 engines is preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting and 480V systems is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and handle various maintenance tasks is preferred
