Job Summary:
Uniti Group Inc. is a premier insurgent fiber provider dedicated to enabling mission-critical connectivity across the United States. The Fiber Operations Technician supports the Splicing Command and Control team by ensuring the physical network is monitored and supported, optimizing system operations, and providing assistance during outages and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities:
• Perform network surveillance, continuously monitoring the critical paths and systems that comprise the Uniti Network.
• Receive, troubleshoot, and manage escalations from NOC Tier 1, driving timely resolution and coordinating with other teams as needed.
• Operate and support the majority of Uniti’s ~32 Network/Element Management Systems (NMS/EMS) and associated network platforms, including Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 network devices.
• Serve in a primarily support-focused role, providing operational assistance to maintain network performance, reliability, and service continuity.
• Complete circuit writing and provisioning activities for assigned areas of the network, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2-5 years NOC experience or equivalent.
• Logical thought and troubleshooting.
• Customer-focused with emphasis on de-escalation skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
• Work rotating shift which will include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
• Travel up to 20%.
• Perform network surveillance, continuously monitoring the critical paths and systems that comprise the Uniti Network.
• Receive, troubleshoot, and manage escalations from NOC Tier 1, driving timely resolution and coordinating with other teams as needed.
• Operate and support the majority of Uniti’s ~32 Network/Element Management Systems (NMS/EMS) and associated network platforms, including Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 network devices.
• Serve in a primarily support-focused role, providing operational assistance to maintain network performance, reliability, and service continuity.

Preferred:
• College degree is not required but a plus. Specifically, in the field of IS/IT.
• Certifications in/on various platforms/technologies a plus.
