General Job Description
Position Overview
The Plumbing Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, workforce performance, and project execution within the plumbing division. This role provides leadership and operational oversight to ensure plumbing installations, service activities, and field operations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards, project requirements, and operational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily plumbing field operations, including manpower coordination, scheduling, project execution, and workflow management.
  • Monitor field productivity, workmanship, job progress, and operational performance to ensure company expectations and project schedules are achieved.
  • Supervise and support field supervisors, foremen, technicians, and field personnel across plumbing operations.
  • Coordinate with project management, operations leadership, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments to support project and service activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, plumbing codes, and operational procedures across all field operations.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, training, and employee development initiatives within the plumbing division.
  • Monitor material usage, equipment allocation, labor utilization, and operational resources to support efficiency and cost control.
  • Conduct field visits, operational reviews, quality inspections, and safety observations to maintain company standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with resolving operational issues, project delays, customer concerns, and field-related challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support operational reporting, workforce planning, budgeting activities, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Promote professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and a strong safety culture throughout field operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous plumbing field operations, installation, service, or construction management experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or licenses preferred, and required where necessary to perform job duties.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • Use, mobile devices, tools, and operational equipment.
  • Travel as required to support project and operational needs.
  • Ability to work overtime, modified schedules, or occasional weekends as business needs require.
  • Stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Sit for extended periods while driving to and between job sites.
  • Work on active job sites, indoors and outdoors, including attics, crawlspaces, and confined or elevated spaces, with exposure to varying weather, construction noise, dust, and other job site conditions.
  • Wear safety gear such as Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Maintain dependable transportation and consistent, reliable attendance to meet customer service and operational needs.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions within established company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate in person, by phone, and electronically, including on a tablet, smartphone, and other office technology.
  • Perform all work on-site and in person; this is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
