Summary: The Retail Fulfillment Center (RFC) Operations Manager directs the daily production activities of various warehouse departments. This position will lead and mentor RFC Operations Supervisors to achieve overall performance goals for production, labor, cost, quality and safety. The RFC Operations Manager is accountable for safety, quality and productivity as well as the facility and equipment.
Responsibilities:
Operations Leadership & Execution
  • Direct daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping to meet customer delivery commitments
  • Monitor real-time operational performance and adjust staffing and workflows to meet volume fluctuations
  • Ensure on-time fulfillment of retail store replenishment orders and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Coordinate with transportation teams to optimize loading schedules and carrier utilization

Team Leadership & Safety
  • Lead, coach, and develop Operations Supervisors responsible for departmental performance and KPI achievement
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Conduct performance evaluations, hold team accountable to standards, and identify high-potential talent for succession planning
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent safety incidents

Continuous Improvement & Performance Management
  • Drive achievement of KPIs including units per hour, order accuracy, on-time shipment, and labor productivity
  • Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen initiatives to eliminate waste and improve operational efficiency
  • Manage departmental operating budget and control labor, equipment, and supply costs
  • Oversee warehouse fleet operations and manage relationships with delivery contractors and 3PL providers

Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in distribution managing a fleet, delivery contractors, 3PL experience and background in logistics, Required
  • Company-issued industrial vehicle license, or ability to obtain within 30 days, Required
  • Knowledge of LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen Process Improvement methodology
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Action Oriented - dedicated to making and meeting deadlines

Salary: $80,000-$85,000
Work Environment:
This position is located in an active industrial manufacturing and distribution center with moderate to high noise levels, temperature variations, and material handling equipment in operation. The role may require extended periods of standing or walking on concrete floors and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses and steel-toed boots. The fast-paced environment involves time-sensitive and safety sensitive operations and may include various shift schedules to support production and distribution needs.
