Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years of supervisory and management experience.
  • Valid driver's license; must remain insurable or obtain an Alaska State driver's license within 90 days.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or willingness to learn within 90 days.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to hold staff accountable and motivate teams.
  • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, grants management, and accreditation standards.
  • Familiarity with Alaska Native Tribal governance and values.
  • Service-oriented with a respectful approach to interactions with others.

Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alaska Driver's license and the ability to be insured on CVTC's vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.

Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check: This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.


Hiring Preferences: As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
