Operations Manager

Baton Rouge Primary Care Collaborative, Inc.
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Status: Full-Time | Exempt
Location: Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Position Summary

Baton Rouge Primary Care Collaborative, Inc. is seeking an experienced and solutions-oriented Operations Manager to support the daily administrative and operational functions of our healthcare organization. This role serves as a key member of the leadership team and works directly with the CEO to improve operational efficiency, support compliance initiatives, strengthen internal processes, and ensure a positive experience for both patients and employees.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and organizer who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Experience within healthcare administration is strongly preferred, and familiarity with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Support the CEO in overseeing day-to-day clinic and administrative operations
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, communication, and accountability across departments
  • Assist in implementing operational goals, policies, and organizational initiatives
  • Monitor operational performance and recommend process improvements

Policy & Compliance Administration

  • Draft, revise, and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and operational documentation
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational requirements
  • Support audits, reporting, and operational readiness initiatives
  • Maintain knowledge of healthcare administrative best practices and regulatory updates

Team & Department Support

  • Provide leadership and support to middle management and administrative staff
  • Help coordinate cross-functional communication between departments
  • Assist with employee coaching, accountability conversations, and operational follow-up
  • Partner with leadership to support a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and service excellence

Administrative Oversight

  • Assist with vendor coordination, office administration, scheduling oversight, and operational logistics
  • Support onboarding, training coordination, and process implementation efforts
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and operational summaries for leadership meetings
  • Maintain organized operational records and documentation systems

Qualifications

Required

  • 35 years of experience in operations management, healthcare administration, or a related leadership role
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

Preferred

  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, medical office, clinic, or community health environment
  • Knowledge of FQHC operations, compliance standards, or grant-funded healthcare organizations
  • Experience drafting policies and operational procedures
  • Experience supporting executive leadership or organizational operations
