Position Overview

The Operations Manager oversees all warehouse operations, including Import, Export, and Clerical functions. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, safety, and compliance, while supervising Inbound and Outbound Supervisors and driving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Lead all warehouse functions to ensure smooth daily operations
โ€ข Supervise Inbound and Outbound Supervisors and support team performance
โ€ข Ensure accurate and timely completion of inbound and outbound activities
โ€ข Review and verify all shipment spreadsheets (inbound, outbound, rewraps, exceptions, etc.)
โ€ข Monitor compliance with SOPs, OSHA regulations, and company policies
โ€ข Conduct regular quality and safety audits
โ€ข Enforce warehouse safety protocols (PPE, forklift safety, emergency procedures)
โ€ข Promote a safety-first culture through training and hazard response
โ€ข Track and report warehouse performance metrics
โ€ข Resolve operational issues and customer concerns
โ€ข Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization
โ€ข Collaborate with upper management on efficiency and service strategies
โ€ข Recruit, train, and develop supervisors for leadership growth
โ€ข Provide coaching, feedback, and discipline as needed
โ€ข Promote cross-training across all warehouse functions
โ€ข Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
โ€ข Assess staffing levels, assign workloads, and monitor productivity
โ€ข Identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred

โ€ข Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, safety, and compliance standards
โ€ข Experience with WMS, ERP systems, and performance metrics
