Job Description:

A growing third-party logistics company is seeking an Operations Manager who thrives in fast-paced, high-impact logistics environments. This individual will serve as the right-hand person to the POD Leader, managing daily customer and carrier-facing responsibilities for a large book of business. From covering loads and bidding spot freight to building strong relationships on both sides of the supply chain, the ideal candidate brings energy, adaptability, and drive.

If youve operated in cradle-to-grave environments and love supporting high-volume freight while making decisions that move the business forwardthis is the right opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the POD Leader in managing a large, high-performing book of business

  • Cover 350-400 loads/month across dry van, reefer, and other OTR modes

  • Bid and execute on spot market opportunities with strong pricing skills

  • Serve as the main point of contact for both customer and carrier communication

  • Anticipate challenges and proactively resolve service issues

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend process improvements

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in carrier sales, operations, or cradle-to-grave freight brokerage

  • Cradle-to-grave (C2G) experience preferred; no book of business required

  • Excellent customer service and negotiation skills

  • Must be able to work on-site in Houston, TX

  • Strong multitasking, load management, and problem-solving abilities
