Operations Supervisor - Wixom, MI (Irrigation Division)
The Operations Supervisor plays an essential role on our team by leading and managing the team members providing services in accordance to customer expectations, company values, and safety standards. The Supervisor role reports to the department Operations Manager and is directly responsible for the oversight of 10-25 team members. Coaching and development of the team members, service-delivery/quality control, scheduling amp; planning, management of area resources, and driving productivity are all key focuses of this role.

Successful Operations Supervisors have strong leadership skills and have experience and knowledge in the area of irrigation (start ups, shut downs, installs, repairs, etc.). Supplemental knowledge and experience with small landscape projects is a plus, but not required. During the winter season, an Operations Supervisor becomes responsible for a geographic area of our snow operation, overseeing all aspects of snow and ice management services and team member performance.
During the landscaping management season, presence and preparation for crew dispatch at 7 a.m. is the main driver of the daily start time in this role. Its end time varies with workload but 5 p.m. is typical. In the winter, shift times transition to third shift when snow operations are occurring to provide the expected supervision while services are being performed.

  • Planning, organizing, and preparing to ensure services are provided in a productive and efficient manner

  • Development and coaching of production team members utilizing a hands-on approach
  • Properly submit production related information
  • Previous experience supervising and leading crews
  • Landscape Industry experience desired, but not required

  • Basic MS Office proficiency
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
