Job description

Landscape Designer - This opportunity places a creative professional at the forefront of developing compelling landscape designs from concept through construction. The core objective of this role is to produce high-end, design-build landscapes while working alongside registered landscape architects, seasoned designers, and horticulturists. The incoming designer will ensure design integrity in execution by directly supporting client presentations and field coordination.


Based in Southeast Michigan, this design-driven, full-service landscape contracting firm has been creating premier residential and commercial outdoor environments for over 40 years. Team members are able to design from and explore a 20-acre nursery surrounding the design studio, as well as 70 acres of growing fields containing over 10,000 trees. This is a highly stable, established organization that treats design as the foundation of its work and offers exceptional opportunities for long-term career growth.


Responsibilities

  • Develop compelling landscape designs from concept through construction.
  • Produce detailed planting plans and layout drawings.
  • Create 2D and 3D renderings that communicate vision clearly.
  • Assist in client presentations and design development.
  • Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure design integrity in execution.


Requirements

  • A degree in Landscape Design, Landscape Architecture, or related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, or comparable design software.
  • Strong graphic presentation abilities.
