Job description

We identify, evaluate, and acquire U.S.-based cannabis operations within each state to vertically integrate, produce, and distribute medical grade cannabis formulations in the United States offering patients and customers premium, high-grade cannabis and related products.
The Operations Manager will oversee all daily operations of the grower processing facility in Scanton, PA, to include Cultivation, Drying, Manufacturing, Processing, Packaging, Fulfillment and Distribution to ensure policies & procedures are followed while providing a clean and safe environment for all employees
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Plan, organize and direct day-to-day operations across all shifts in accordance with facility goals, standards, costs, budgets and established procedures.
  • Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
  • Lead all production planning activities for the facility, including facilitating production planning meetings, coordinating commercial calls, and conducting production reviews.
  • Ensure effective scheduling and execution to achieve the company's targets.
  • Support the facility in maintaining all KPI's and measurables.
  • Support the facility in maintaining Safety, Quality and Staffing goals and opportunities.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results
  • Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
  • Monitor operations and refine policies and programs to improve productivity and quality while eliminating waste and reducing cost.
  • Promote open communication among managers and employees concerning goals, performance standards, company poliices and procedures. Create a positive work environment within facility which encourages innovation by fully utilizing the synergy of all associates through developing trust and a cohesive team.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective operations.
  • Address employees' issues, manage grievances, and ensure that disciplinary procedures are handled in a consistent manner in accordance with company policies and collective bargaining agreement.
  • Stay up to date with latest manufacturing & production management best practices and concepts

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • Proven work experience as an Operations Manager
  • Proven managerial experience
  • Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
  • Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise (preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
  • Strong data analysis skills (Excel, PowerBI or similar tools)
  • Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
  • BS degree in Business Management or related field
  • Excellent oral, planning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
  • Strong work ethics and self-starter
