Position Overview
Hartford Athletic is seeking a Marketing Coordinator Intern (Academy Focus) to support the Hartford Athletic Youth Academy. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to create engaging content, manage social media platforms, and contribute to exciting youth development initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, creative-minded, and highly motivated - someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to learn through hands-on experience. If you're passionate about soccer, storytelling, and marketing, and are driven to bring ideas to life in a professional sports setting, this opportunity is for you.
Responsibilities
Social Media & Content Creation
  • Help create and manage social media content for Hartford Athletic Youth Academy channels
  • Capture photo and video content at academy training sessions, matches, and events
  • Assist in designing marketing materials and digital assets for academy programs
  • Learn and apply professional sports marketing strategies and best practices

Event & Game Day Support
  • Support Hartford Athletic academy events and matchday operations
  • Help activate youth engagement initiatives and community events

Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of soccer and/or youth sports culture
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere, Canva, etc.)
  • Photography and/or videography experience preferred
  • Access to a high-resolution camera is a plus
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends for practices, matches, and events
  • Spanish language skills a plus

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
