Do you have experience at a Public/Private shipyard engaged in CVN maintenance? Want to be part of the winning team that refuels and returns these national assets to service? Come ane join our Supervisor of Shipbuilding Newport News (SUPSHIPNN) Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) Work Intergration team.

This person will support the SUPSHIPNN Work Integration Team by coordinating all aspects of AIT/CCT work control, tracking, and documentation, while ensuring compliance with work requirements, certifications, and project objectives. Serves as a key liaison among Ship’s Force, contractors, and internal teams to resolve integration issues, monitor performance, and support project planning and execution. This is a full-time position, located in Newport News, VA.

Essential Job Responsibilities Support the SUPSHIPNN Work Integration Team by supporting a multi-faceted control function to include: Developing and maintaining an Auxiliary Installation Team/Customer Contracted Team (AIT/CCT) Tracker spreadsheet to identify and track all incoming AIT/CCT teams, to include all administrative requirements for entry and start of work. Identifying contractor work and producing CCT Memorandums of Agreement (MOA), Lead Maintenance Activity (LMA) interface guidelines, applicable contract language supporting work integration and lessons learned for other projects. Participate in the review and update of Team Memoranda.

Using production agendas and other tools as required, monitor the progress of all maintenance providers. Provide metrics as requested by the Work Integration Manager (WIM) that reflect AIT/CCT performance. Supporting the WIM in coordinating and participating in Project Orientation Briefs to ensure non-shipyard work maintenance providers understand work requirements and procedures.

Provide support to the WIM in the submission, verification and tracking of all AIT/CCT Service Order Requests. Develope a close working relationship between Ship's Force (who maintains control of their vessel), the various CCT Government OSRs and NNS to ensure conformity to appropriate work controls, including final certification. Work closely with the Work Integration Team and the Chief Test Engineer's Team to develop the strategy for work control and appropriate work and test certification for all non-shipyard work.

Assist the WIM in representing the project interest in conferences, meetings, and personal contacts dealing with non-shipyard work by making decisions, recommendations, and official commitments involving work integration matters. Discusses problems with the WIM and takes action to resolve work integration issues. What You Must Have 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.

Must have U.S. Navy experience as a Work Center Supervisor or higher, or equivalent senior civilian experience in Navy ship maintenance. Must possess aircraft carrier operational or maintenance experience including experience in a supervisory role during extended maintenance availability at either a public or private shipyard (specifically in work integration processes and procedures).

Must have strong writing and public-speaking skills. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Must have a current, valid DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.

Must be a self-starting, result-orientated professional that will be required to support the SUPSHIPNN Work Integration Team. Bonus Points For Knowledge and expertise in improvement/transformation initiatives such as LEAN-Six Sigma, process improvement programs, and knowledge sharing programs is strongly preferred. Physical Requirements May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
