This role creates environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening.

Job Description

  • The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure management.
  • The position requires creating and maintaining environment-specific Kubernetes configuration packages with STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement.
  • Engineers will implement secrets injection strategies using FedRAMP-compliant tools (AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault).
  • The role includes integrating CI/CD pipelines for secure automated deployment and rollback of ArcGIS components.

Required Qualifications and Experience

The contractor shall provide personnel who meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or
  • A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.

Candidates must have demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Automating cloud infrastructure.
  • Implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
  • Working with microservices architecture and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
  • Utilizing observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline).
  • Working knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh technologies.
  • Proficiency in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and security best practices.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring/logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
  • Ability to implement STIG-aligned hardening and RBAC enforcement.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
