DevOps Engineer

About the Role

We are working with a client seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery
  • Manage and automate cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code tools
  • Monitor system performance, reliability, and availability across production environments
  • Collaborate closely with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle
  • Implement and enforce security best practices across the deployment pipeline and infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
  • Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Document infrastructure, processes, and runbooks clearly and thoroughly

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, site reliability, or infrastructure engineering role
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform — AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Experience with infrastructure as code — Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or similar
  • Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to reliability

Nice to Have

  • Cloud certifications — AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer, or equivalent
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio or Linkerd
  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux
  • Experience in a high-availability or enterprise-scale environment
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and DevSecOps practices

Compensation

$120,000 — $155,000 base salary depending on experience. Full benefits package available.
