Director of Business Operations

Job title: Director of Business Operations
Reports to: Sr. Director of Operations Support
Location: AMER, EMEA or APAC (remote)
Salary: $200K/yr-$230K/yr

About our team
We are a dynamic, dedicated team that provides management and support for a global guarding services account that spans across 30+ countries. Our client is an industry-leading datacenter organization, and we pride ourselves on delivering best-in-class solutions through our teams made up of Security Operations, Business Operations, Operations Support, Human Resources, Training, Threat and Incident Management, and Environmental Health and Safety. As part of this team, you'll be part of our leadership team and work alongside a group of professionals that are committed to excellence and innovation.

About the role
The Director of Business Operations is a senior strategic leader responsible for setting direction, reinforcing organizational priorities, and ensuring strong financial budgeting and execution, operational execution compliance, and program governance across a global datacenter security program supporting a multi-hundred-million-dollar client account. This role leads three (3) core functional pillars: Finance, Compliance, and the Branch Program Team.  Each are essential to ensuring the program operates with integrity, transparency, and long-term stability. By providing executive-level leadership across these areas, the Director ensures the organization's mission, client expectations, and operational strategies are aligned.

What you'll do
In this role, you will set the strategic direction for the Finance, Compliance, and Branch Program teams to support the long-term success of global datacenter security operations. You will oversee financial planning and performance, ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory obligations, and strengthen program frameworks that support consistency and scalability across regions. You'll advise senior leaders, shape key program decisions, and drive initiatives that enhance financial health, operational integrity, and organizational alignment. Responsibilities include developing team performance, improving processes, building strong client and internal relationships, leading cross-functional collaboration, and delivering clear executive-level insights and reporting. As the senior leader for these core business functions, you will help ensure the program operates with clarity, accountability, and a high standard of delivery across all teams.

What you need to apply
We are looking for a seasoned professional that has a bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field, with 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-disciplinary business operations functions, including 3+ years at the director level. Global, multi-region operations experience is required and a background in datacenters is preferred.
This position requires a forward-thinking leader with strong business acumen and the ability to influence without direct authority and build relationships at all organizational levels. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, effective communicator, and results-oriented leader capable of driving performance in a fast-paced, global environment with demonstrated success in aligning business operations strategy with operational and business goals.
This position involves domestic and international travel (approximately 30% of the time), so a passion for travel (and a valid passport) is essential. This role will also require flexibility to work nights and weekends (when needed) to support global staffing issues, high priority events, and off-hours incidents.
All applicants to this role must have reliable means of communication, reliable means of transportation (public or private) to get to/from work, the legal right to work in the country where the position is located, and the ability to speak, read and write in English proficiently.

What you'll get
We believe great work deserves great rewards-and we're committed to staying competitive. This role offers a base salary of $200,000 to $230,000. That range is based on the Greater Seattle Area and may flex depending on your experience and location. We've got you covered with medical, dental, and vision insurance, along with life insurance, parental leave, and paid time off.

The extra stuff
This position requires-with or without reasonable accommodation-the physical and mental ability to perform all essential job functions effectively. This includes maintaining composure under pressure while interacting with clients, authorities, executives, and staff; working independently without direct supervision; and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The role involves regular use of a computer and keyboard, frequent lifting or moving of items up to 10 pounds, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity for both near and far distances, as well as the ability to adjust focus, is required. The position may involve handling sensitive or confidential information and requires flexibility in scheduling to meet operational demands.
